While Mark did all of the driving, I called around. Campendium really came through for us. $57 was way more than we wanted to spend for the night, but the resort was right off 95 and on the water.
Pulling into the campground, our pets heads were falling off. We are potty training Max, but we were stuck in traffic when he had to go. Mark didn't feel comfortable pulling over. Then Mark had to go to the bathroom, too.
When we pulled in to register, Mark ran into the Airstream and I let the beasts, I mean kids, loose. Madeleine immediately grabbed an open bottle of water and dumped it on the computer.
I had the kids walk over to the site, in the dark, with Mark while I prepped to back the trailer in. We received some unsolicited aid, and while his intentions were good, I prefer to be left alone to just do my thing. I don't like to be told what to do and this isn't my first rodeo. I need to figure out a polite way to decline assistance. Well, I jackknifed the trailer and split the tow cable...again.
We LOVED Westmoreland! We arrived at dusk, so we fount a spot in Campsite A. It was a fairly level pull-through with water and electric.
